About Ryan Harris
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to grow up in the heart of Colorado, where I was that little kid on skis at Echo Mountain near Evergreen. My early exposure to the snowy slopes laid the groundwork for an exciting career. In 2015, I enrolled in an Outward Bound course, immersing myself in outdoor education firsthand. Watching the instructors, I realized they had turned their passion for the outdoors into fulfilling careers. I invested my graduation money in a complete climbing setup before even starting college. Throughout my college years, I majored in psychology while climbing five days a week for four years. This experience allowed me to work extensively with the outdoor adventure program, where I discovered my true passion for teaching. In 2019, I graduated and focused on how to combine my love for skiing and climbing with instruction. Since then, I’ve guided and instructed in various locations and disciplines, determined to share the same passion I have for these sports with others.

I am dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where learning thrives, ensuring that every participant receives the highest quality guidance and resources. Through our commitment to excellence, we aim inspire growth, creativity, and lifelong learning in every interaction.

The AMGA is the premier standard in mountain guiding, having vetted and examined aspiring mountain guides since 1979.
